CargoApp

The problem
Road freight customers often can't see where their cargo is or what a trip is costing, which creates mistrust between them and transport providers. CargoApp gives both sides one place for trips, expenses, evidence and live tracking.
Key decisions
- Modeled the ASP.NET Core API with Domain-Driven Design and later added an IAM bounded context for clients and entrepreneurs.
- Reorganized the Vue frontend around the same domains, with a shared base service for API calls, so it matched the backend.
- Used Leaflet for the tracking map and Chart.js for trip statistics, instead of building visualizations from scratch.
- Started the frontend against a mock JSON API, then switched to the real backend, so the two could progress in parallel.
- Added filtered trip exports and fixed the issues raised by our heuristic evaluation before release.
The result
The frontend and API were deployed over successive sprints, with the Vue app published on Netlify. User interviews and a heuristic evaluation guided the final fixes.
